Approval of Minutes June 13, 2012. <br /> <br />Commissioner Brot made a motion to approve the minutes from the June 13, 2012 Traffic <br />Commission meeting, seconded by Commissioner Womack and unanimously approved. <br /> <br />2. Request to install Stop Signs at the intersection of Alanson Drive and Golf <br />Course Drive <br /> <br />Commissioner Henderson presented the request from Jonathan B. Stern resident at 941 <br />Alanson Drive, requesting replacement of the yield signs with stop signs on Golf Course at <br />this intersection. <br /> <br />Commissioner Henderson read the background information as follows: <br />According to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices - MUTCD, the following <br />factors are evaluated as part of the engineering study for Stop sign warrants: <br /> <br /> Vehicular, bicycle, pedestrian traffic volumes: Golf Course and Alanson Drive are <br />streets with low vehicular volume; however the pedestrian volume increases at <br />some times of the week and day, especially Friday evenings and Saturdays in <br />general due to the Jewish community that lives in this neighborhood.
