The meeting commenced at 7:00 pm. <br /> <br />Voting Members Present <br /> <br />Carol Schmidt, Chair <br />Darlene Davison <br />Steve Myers <br />Richard Wesenberg <br />Jane North <br />Chris Smith <br />Mondi Ghasedi <br /> <br />Non-Voting Members Present <br />Terry Crow, Council Liaison <br /> <br />Staff Present <br />Raymond Lai, Deputy Director of Economic and Community Development <br />Zach Greatens, Planner <br /> <br />1. Minutes of the previous meeting (January 19, 2012) were accepted as written. <br /> <br />2. 863 Westgate Avenue The applicant, Roy Mangan with Archimages, provided an <br />overview of the proposed new construction. The current proposal is for the new fire <br />station at the northwest corner of Vernon Avenue and Westgate Avenue. The proposed <br />building will be of brick construction with stone banding around the building. Also <br />proposed, tinted glazing of windows, short canopies near the entry, screening on the <br />roof. <br /> <br />Mr. Myers asked if the same materials will run along all four sides of the building. Mr. <br />Mangan stated that the intent is to cover all four sides of the building unless there were <br />any issues with cost. <br /> <br />Mr. Myers also asked about the material of the cornice and the signage.
