Mr. Schocmer said he would
accept such a condition, as did Mr. Adams. The condition is as follows:

12.

Volume of the outdoor speakers shall be controlled at a level so that it
is not discern/hie frc~ across tb~ street or in adjaoent residential
areas.

All voted Aye.

C0NDITIf~ALUSE - S~LSTATION. 7449 OLIVE

The city Manager concurred with the Plan C~,,.,{-~ion rec~m~-~_ndation (on a 3-2
vote) to approve a drive-through c~mhier facility for this Shell station, in-
cluding all previous conditions, plus prohibiting an intercx~ system at the
w'n~low and limiting hours to 7 a.m. to 12 midnight.

Ms. Cynthia ~gye~, 7437 Melrose, was concerned about noise from car radios,
speakers, etc. at the cashier's window. P~gulating the level, especially at
night, wuuld be nearly impoesible; she suggested a more appropriate closing
t/me would be 10 p.m. A seoond co~oern is that many children buy snacks at
the station, and a drive-through facility would be dangerous for them.

Mr. Adams asked if this kind of facility is located anywhere else. Mr. Bob
Polk, consulting eng/neer representing Shell Oil, said 7-11 has several in
St. Louis County. ~nisnewoonoeptwas for the convenience ofcustumers, he
