Cotton. <br /> <br />Also present was Deputy city Manager Kimberley Trumbly. City Manager Frank <br />Ollendorff was on vacation. <br /> <br />July 10. 1995 <br /> <br />Mr. ~moved approval of the July 10, 1995, minutes as submitted. Mrs. <br />Schumansecondedthemotion, which carriedunanimously. <br /> <br />July 19, 1995 <br /> <br />Mrs. Sdmmmanmovedapproval of tb~minutes of the special meeting of July 19, <br />1995, as su~~. Mr. Schocmer seconded the motion, and all voted Aye. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus read a proclamation honoring Sandy Wool, who served as chairman <br />of the recent gala to celebrate the reopening of the Tivoli Th~ter, and who <br />has given generously of her time and talents over many years to promote Uni- <br />versity city. The Mayor also presented a lovely set of specially inscribed <br />bookends to Ms. Wool. There was an extended round of applause. The Mayor <br />not_~d_ that the Tivoli gala raised over $29,000 for the Youth Emergency Ser- <br />vice and nearly $10,000 for the St. Louis Walk of Fame. Several councilmem- <br />bers c~,,ented favorably about Ms. Wool's contributions to University City. <br />The proclamation will become part of tbm permanent record. <br /> <br />Mr. Corey Shapiro, Wa-~hington University student representative to the City <br />Council, said inauguration of the new chancellor, Mark Wrighton, will be on <br />Friday, October 6, and a number of other inaugural festivities will be held <br />that weekend. He said he was pleased that expanded recycling in University <br />City would soon be getting under way. <br /> <br /> <br />
