<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Traffic Commission <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri 63130, Phone: (314) 862-6767, Fax: (314) 863-9146 <br /> <br />A G E N D A <br /> <br />TO: Members of the Traffic Commission <br />FROM: Angelica Gutierrez, Project Manager <br />DATE: October 4, 2012 <br />October 10, 2012 <br />SUBJECT: Traffic Commission Meeting <br /> <br />October 10, 2012 <br />The next Traffic Commission meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, at 6:30 p.m. at the <br />Heman Park Community Center located at 975 Pennsylvania Avenue. Prior to the meeting, we <br />recommend that you visit the site(s). Please call (314) 505-8568 or email agutierrez@ucitymo.org to confirm <br />your attendance. <br />AGENDA FOR THE MEETING <br /> <br />1. Approval of Minutes September 24, 2012. <br /> <br />2. Draft Complete/Livable Streets Ordinance. <br /> <br />Please find attached the Draft Complete/Livable Streets Ordinance which will require that the City consider all <br />modes of transportation and all users when making improvements to public infrastructure. A public meeting <br />was held on July 26, 2012 and questions/comments from that meeting are also attached. <br /> <br />A presentation of the draft ordinance will be provided to the Commission at the time of the meeting. At this <br />time, the Public Works and Parks Department requests that the Traffic Commission provide comments to the <br />Bike and Walk Task Force regarding this draft ordinance and any other recommendations, especially as it <br />relates to traffic regulations and management. The Traffic Commission will be asked to vote on their support or <br />not of the Ordinance before it is presented to Council. <br /> <br />3. Request to install Stop Signs on Old Bonhomme Rd and Lafon Place. <br /> <br />Please find attached Traffic Request Form submitted on September 2, 2012 by Jane Schaefer, resident at 501 <br />West Drive, requesting to install stop signs at southbound Old Bonhomme Rd and Crandon and at northbound <br />Old Bonhomme Rd and Lafon Pl. <br /> <br />This intersection is in the close proximity to the City Limit border with the City of Clayton. This request was sent <br />to the City of Clayton Public Works Staff for their input, since this installation would affect traffic driving in and <br />out of their municipality. The University City Public Works and Parks Department requested accident reports <br />for this intersection from the Police Department. Additional information will be provided at the time of the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />4. University City Traffic Commission Bylaws Revision. <br /> <br />The proposed revision to the University City Traffic Commission bylaws will be presented for your comments <br />and approval. <br /> <br />5. FYI - Traffic and Parking Study Delmar Loop. <br /> <br />The steering committee will meet October 9, 2012 to define the scope of the project to include all public input <br />as part of the Traffic and Parking Study in the Delmar Loop.
