If the use tax is available <br />it my help fun~ some of the items discussed above. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner did not approve of ir~Irea_sir~ salaries during tb~ year, and felt <br />decisions should be made now. Mr. Ollendorff said all specific rec~,,.,~nded <br />changes will be presented to Council in June, but wage analyses are not yet <br />finished. Mayo~ Majerus felt Council should know what the employee across- <br />the-board increase is before approving the budget. Mr. Ollendorff said he <br />was waiting for one more month of cost-of-living figures to see if the raise <br />should be 4%; an additional 1/2% would then be r~ded for adjustments. Mayor <br />Majerus agreed with councilmembers who felt mid-year raises should not be <br />given; she also would like to be able to say the across-the-board increase <br />will be 4%, and there will be reclassifications if the City can afford it. <br />Mr. Ollendorff said a decision will be rode at end of May; Council will have <br />the final budget to approve on June 12. <br /> <br />Mr. A~mm~ asked Mr. Ollendorff to give some consideration in tb~ next year to <br />police officers using bicycles in certain areas, such as the I~op. <br /> <br />Mrs. Schuman said she and Mr. Wagner have discussed the possibility of mount- <br />ing security cameras in the Loop to monitor parkin~ are~__s; she felt the City <br />had to ~ very agressive with regard to security. Ms. Trombly said that <br />will be discussed at Council's July study session. <br /> <br />~ s~sTc~ <br /> <br />Mr. Adams moved that Council meet in executive session at 8:20 p.m. this date <br />in the ~0C to ~I~,-~ personnel. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion. The roll <br />call vote was as follows: AYES: Counci~ Wagner, Schoomer, Schuman, <br />Thompson, ~Adams, and Mayor Majerus. NAYS: None.
