He also mentioned working with other cities in the Missouri area to fight <br />against crime, as it was not just University City. <br /> <br />P. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Ms. Carr noted it may be time to revisit where the seniors and senior program are <br />located. She also acknowledged the “It’s for the Birds” which is a bird habitat garden <br />outside Centennial Commons. Ms. Carr said there will be a Gala Event Fundraiser on <br />th <br />Sunday, September 30 at 6:30 PM in Centennial Commons. Items for an auction or <br />donations can be donated in support of the bird habitat. <br /> <br />Mr. Crow expressed congratulations to the students, teachers, parents and <br />administrators of the University City Schools on the academic progress they have <br />been made. <br /> <br />Mayor Welsch was honored to be shadowed by ten-year old, Malisha Bocare, who <br />was part of the University City Summer Reading Program. She said Ms. Bocare was <br />an impressive young lady who is a student at Barbara Jordan Elementary School. <br />Mayor Welsch also attended the Millar Park Strategic Planning Session in Miller Park <br />noting it was well attended and the issue of additional sidewalks on the North and <br />South was commented on several times. <br /> <br />Jan Adams, 7150 Cambridge Avenue <br />Ms. Adams read her opening paragraph regarding the number of Closed Sessions <br />since the April Municipal Election.
