SESSION 1636 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF ~6E UNIVERSITY CITY OOUNCIL <br /> <br /> February 27, 1995 <br /> <br />At a regular meetin~ of the City Council of University City held in the Coun- <br />cil chamber of City Hall on Monday, February 27, 1995, Mayor Janet Majerus <br />presided and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the <br />Mayor, the following ~ of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. George R. Cotton <br />Mr. Jcee4ah L. Adams, Jr. <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br /> <br />Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br /> <br />Also present ~ City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the February 6, 1995, minutes as submitted. Mr. <br />A~s seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />A~PO~ <br /> <br />Mrs. T~ moved that Mr. Arthur Smith, 1481 Partridge, be appointed to <br />the Park Cc~4$sion for a term expiring January 21, 1998. Mr. Cotton second- <br />ed the motion, and all voted Aye. <br /> <br />Mrs. Thompson moved the appointment of Mr. Erickson Smith, 8348 Fullerton, to <br />the City Plan Oc~m~.~ion for an unexpired term ending January 1, 1997. Mrs. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus moved the appointment of Mrs. Mary Dee Schmidt, 819 Jackson, to <br />the Municipal (k~.~sion on Arts and Letters for a term expiring January 2, <br />1999. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, and all voted Aye. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoc~_r moved that Council confirm the election of Kevin Bray, ~ <br />Bank, to the ~ Special Business District Commission for an unexpired term <br />ending J~ 1, 1997. Mr. Wagner secor~_~d the motion, and all voted Aye. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFV~ <br /> <br />Mr. Esley Hamilton, recently reappointed to the Historic Preservation C~,~.~s- <br />sion, was given th~ oath of office by the City Clerk. Mayor Majerus thanked <br />Mr. Hamilton for agreeing to serve another term, adding the Council w-as very <br />fortunate to have his expertise. <br /> <br />Mr. Michael ~man, Washington University student representative to the City <br />Council, was pl~a-~ed to report significant progress on the safety issues he <br /> <br /> <br />
