RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, TCI has completed their FCC form 1240 in compliance with the rules <br />established in the Consumer Protection and Competition Act of 1992 and other going forward <br />rules; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the intent of the Consumer Protection and Competition Act of 1992 is to <br />create markets that allow cable service providers to make a reasonable profit while protecting <br />consumers from over-priced cable services rates, <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of University City, <br />Missouri accepts TCI's FCC Form 1240, increasing monthly basic cable rates from $5.33 to <br />$5.64. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 19th day of May, 1997. <br /> <br />ATTEST~~ <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
