<br /> <br />MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br />January 22, 2007 <br /> <br />At the Regular Council Session of the City Council of University City held in the <br />Chambers of the City Hall, on Monday, January 22, 2007, Mayor Adams called the <br />meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of <br />the Council were present: <br /> Ms. Stefany Brot <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Ms. Lynn Ricci <br /> Mr. Glickert <br /> Mr. Sharpe, Jr. <br />Also in attendance was the City Manager, Ms. Julie Feier, IT Director, Ms. Leisha <br />Meine, attorneys, Mr. John Mulligan and Mr. Paul Martin. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />The minutes of January 8, 2007, Regular Council Session were moved for adoption <br />by Ms. Brot, seconded by Ms. Ricci and approved unanimously. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS <br />Linda Peoples was sworn in as a new member of the Parks’ Commission and Nova <br />Felton was sworn in to the Plan Commission. <br />Creda Stewart was nominated by Mr. Wagner to the Arts & Letters Commission, <br />seconded by Mr. Sharpe and approved unanimously. <br /> <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SALES TAX COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS <br />Mayor Adams’ nominations for the Economic Sales Tax Development Commission <br />were: <br />1. Mr. Gordon Myers, Ward one two year term <br />2. Ms. Rosalind Williams, Ward two two year term <br />3. Mrs. Janet Wilson, Ward three four year term <br />4. Ms. Ellen Bern, School Board representative two year term <br />5. Mr. Tom Curran, St. Louis County representative four year term <br />6. Mayor Joseph Adams Council liaison <br />7. Mr. Lehman Walker Staff liaison <br />8. Mr. Joe Edwards Loop representative <br />9. Mr. Eric Kline OBA representative <br />Mr. Sharpe, Jr., moved for approval, Ms. Brot seconded; the motion was approved <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Wagner asked if members of the commission would be eligible for <br />reappointment by vote of Council. Mayor Adams said that was correct. <br />Ms. Ricci noted that she was unable to be heard before the vote was called for. <br />She said she wanted to suggest a modification to the appointment terms since the <br />two subject areas, Olive and the Loop, are touched by the first and second wards. <br /> <br />C-3-a <br />February 5, 2007 <br /> <br />
