A bill was introduced by Mr. Munkel, entitled: <br /> <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 9.08 AND 9.16 OF THE CITY'S MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />RELATING TO OFFENSES AGAINST PUBLIC PEACE AND DECENCY, AND <br />PROPERTY OFFENSES, RESPECTIVELY, BY ENACTING THEREIN NEW <br />SECTIONS TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 9.08.250 HATE CRIMES," <br />SECTION 9.16.130 INSTITUTIONAL VANDALISM," AND "SECTION <br />9.16.140 TAMPERING WITH PROPERTY IN THE SECOND DEGREE," <br />CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />The bill was given its first reading and assigned #8439. <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENT: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams announced that on September 4 - 6, our fire personnel will be at several <br />locations around town asking drivers to donate their change to MDA. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams adjourned the regular session at 8:05 p.m. and announced that the next <br />regular Council meeting was scheduled for Thursday, September 23, 1999 at 5:00 p.m. <br />Mayor Adams announced that the Council would go back to business attire mode at the <br />first October meeting. <br /> <br /> / <br /> <br /> e <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br /> <br />
