RESOLUTION 2007 - 15 WHEREAS, the City of University City has determined that certain streetscape design standards (known as the "Olive Boulevard Streetscape Standards") being implemented along Olive Boulevard (within the City limits) are of significant importance to the economic viability, public health, safety, order, convenience and general welfare of the community and doing so is in the best interest of the City to maintain an economically viable corridor along Olive Boulevard, and WHEREAS, the City has executed an agreement for maintenance of Ornamental Lighting, Paved Shoulder and Sidewalk Streetscape on Olive Boulevard within the city limits with the Missouri Department of Transportation and St. Louis County that are agencies with jurisdiction along Olive Boulevard. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MO AS FOLLOWS: All new developments along Olive Boulevard shall include the Olive Boulevard Streetscape Standards (attached and labeled "Exhibit A"). Ingress and egress of all new developments along Olive Boulevard shall be approved by the appropriate state and/or county agency. The City Council hereby directs that the Director of Public Works shall enforce the requirements of the Olive Boulevard Streetscape Standards per the attached document (known as "Olive Boulevard Streetscape Standards" and labeled "Exhibit A") for all new developments along Olive Boulevard under the approved guidelines and standards therein. The term "new developments" shall mean any new primary buildings that require a special use permit (either a "site plan review" or "conditional use permit") under Title 34 of the Municipal Code. fi Moved by Councilmember Ms. Brot.
