SESSION 1691 <br /> <br /> MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> APRIL 1, 1997 <br /> <br />A special meeting of the City Council of University City was held in Room 6 of City Hall on Tuesday, April I, 1997, to <br />consider approval of a liquor license transfer for Cicero's and granting a sewer easement to MSD. Notice of the meeting <br />was posted Thursday, March 27, 1997. Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. In addition to the <br />Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br /> Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br /> Mr. Lawrence Lieberman <br /> Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br /> <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner, Mrs. Betty L. Thompson and Mr. Hardy Ware were excused. Also present was City Manager Frank <br />Ollendorff. <br /> <br />LIQUOR LICENSE TRANSFER - CICERO'S <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff recommended approval of the liquor license transfer for Cicero's due to their moving into the space at <br />6691 Delmar. Shawn Jacobs, expects the facility will open this month. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved approval of the transfer. Mr. Munkel seconded, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />BILL FOR INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8321 - EMERGENCY <br /> <br />A bill was introduced by Mr. Munkel, entitled: <br /> <br />"AN ORDINANCE GRANTING, SELLING AND CONVEYING TO THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER <br />DISTRICT A PERMANENT EASEMENT ON A STRIP OR STRIPS OF GROUND LOCATED BETWEEN VERNON <br />AVENUE AND THE RIVER DES PERES CHANNEL, EAST OF PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE; CONTAINING AN <br />EMERGENCY CLAUSE." <br /> <br />The bill was assigned No. 8321 and given its first reading. <br /> <br />The bill was given its second reading. <br /> <br />The bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved adoption. Mr. Munkel seconded. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Munkel, <br />Lieberman, Schoomer and Mayor Adams. NAYS: None.
