<br /> <br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />May 16, 2013 Meeting Minutes <br />(approved 6/20/2013) <br /> <br />The Historic Preservation Commission held their regular meeting in the Heman Park Community <br />Center located at 975 Pennsylvania Avenue, University City, Missouri on May 16, 2013. The <br />meeting commenced at 7:00 pm. <br /> <br />Voting Members Present Voting Members Absent (excused) <br />Chris Smith, Chairperson Darlene Davison, Vice-Chairperson <br />Carol Schmidt Steve Myers <br />Richard Wesenberg Jane North <br />Non-Voting Members Absent (excused) <br />James Guest <br />Michael Glickert, Council Liaison <br />Staff Present <br />Zach Greatens, Planner <br /> <br />1. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Minutes of the previous meeting (April 18, 2013) were accepted as written. <br /> <br />Mr. Smith, Chair, requested to switch a. and b. of agenda item 3 Other Business. There were no <br />objections. <br /> <br />2. 722 Kingsland Avenue Design review for proposed renovation of a multi-family <br />residential building in the Delmar Loop Parkview Gardens Historic District (National <br />Register of Historic Places) <br /> <br />Mr. Greatens provided background information, pictures and maps for the project and <br />summarized the applicable Zoning Code Section (34-77). <br /> <br />Mr. Clinton Enyeart, project architect with St. Louis Design Alliance, explained the proposed <br />renovation. <br /> <br />Mr. Smith disclosed that his firm does legal work for Washington University. <br /> <br />Mr. Wesenberg made a motion to approve the proposed building renovations as submitted. The <br />motion was seconded by Mr. Guest. The motion was approved unanimously. <br /> <br />3. Other Business <br />b. Discussion Permanent roundabout at intersection of Delmar Boulevard and Trinity <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />Mr. Greatens provided background information for the item. He stated that, as described in the <br />cover memo distributed to the Commission members, upon further discussion with the <br />Department of Public Works and Parks staff and the design team for the roundabout, and in <br />interest of the eventual final review of the roundabout, this might be a good opportunity to get <br />tm; <br /> šE <br /> <br /> <br />
