f <br /> RESOLUTION 2013 — 12 <br /> i <br /> Resolution in support of City Manager Lehman Walker's negotiation with <br /> the University City Firefighters' Union <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager Lehman Walker is responsible for managing City staff <br /> and the responsible fiscal management of the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager Lehman Walker is responsible for submitting a balanced <br /> budget, thereby ensuring that City expenditures do not exceed City revenues; and <br /> 1 <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager Lehman Walker is responsible for ensuring the high level <br /> of City Services to University City residents is maintained; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager Lehman Walker is responsible for ensuring that City staff <br /> salaries in all departments are equitable and fair to all employees; and <br /> 1 <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager Lehman Walker is solely responsible for representing the <br /> City of University City in all union negotiations. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of University City has full <br /> confidence in the City Manager Lehman Walker with respect to his position and <br /> 1 <br /> authority in negotiations with the University City Firefighters' Union. <br /> I <br /> Adopte this 9th of September, 2013.
