Ollendorff said overnight truck parking on <br />public lots is prdlibited; however, it is allowed during the day. <br /> <br />The motion carried four to three with Ccunc~ ]m~mbers Ootton, Schuman, Schoen- <br />er, and ~l~m~al voting Aye, and Mayor Majerus and Councilmembers ~ams and <br />Wagner voting May. <br /> <br />The City Manager said a public hearing was scheduled for 7:30 p.m. this date <br />and place to b~ oj~Lents on the pku~ceed vacating of an ~li~proved alley <br />f~'Cau Drexel to Sllaf't-,:r-h/zy east of North and South Road. There is no public <br />~ for this alley, and all but c~e adjacent cea~er have petitic~ed for this <br />action. However, t_he alley and adjacent pLuperty have been used for impLuper <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus opened the public hearing at 7:55 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Tim Hepler, 1069 N. Hanley, who lives near the alley in question, said <br />there have been code violaticr~ in the vicinity of the alley for quite srm~ <br />time which have been re~or~a to the City, but no action taken. He described <br />scee of the violations to Council and furnished ~lotogra~, ~ng that this <br />affects pLu~_rty values. He did not object to the alley be/rig vacated but <br />said there should be assurances the property will be p~u~.rly cared for. <br /> <br />The petition cirnulator, Mr. James Helloway, 1060 North and South, said nw~h <br />of what Mr. Hepler said is true; however, be recently retired and will have <br />more time to devote to correcting the cede violations and ~aa~ng landscaping <br />to his p~-o~_rties.
