Mr. Cut~zel seccrn~a_ <br />the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Cottc~ moved the appointment of Mr. John H. Pcu, Jr., 1077 Roth, to tba <br />Co~,dssic~ on Human Relations for an unexpired term ending August 6, 1996. <br /> <br />~ OF O~'~'ICE <br /> <br />MS. It was neo_i~,a~r~a that <br />rates ~ to abutt/ng pLu~erty for the initial ~ of streets and <br />alleys be set at $24.20 per front foot for street i~provemBnts (current cost <br />is $22.20), and $14.69 per abutting foot for alley imp~ (current cost <br />is $13.44). Sideyards abutting initial street ~mp=ovements are assessed at <br />half these amounts. Prices are based on current co~structic~ costs and a <br />formula by which abutting owners pay about ha] ~ since their pLu~erty is the <br />primary beneficiary, and taxpayers pay the rest since there is general bene- <br />fit f~L, such improvements. <br /> <br /> <br />
