Schccmer <br />Mrs. Betty L. <br /> <br />Absent: Cctlnc~lmmt'~_r Joseph L. ~ilms, Jr., who was out of town. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Olleraorff. <br /> <br />Mrs. Scbm~n moved approval of the May 2, 1994 minutes. Mr. Sch3ener seccra- <br />ed the motion, which carried unaDlm~usly. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus said Michael ~man is the new Washington University shw~nt <br />representative to the City Council, but he will not he able to come to a <br />meeting until fall since he has an internship at the Mlite House. <br /> <br />cl'rl MAN~4~:M'S <br /> <br />The City Manager saw earlier in the year he approved an orn~ for six fire- <br />fi~lter turn-cut suits flu Leo Ellebracht, Inc. at a coet of $3,225. Since <br />then, the Fire Department identified a ncc~ for nine suits. ~ higher <br />quantity allows the City to receive a lower cost per suit ($590 ins~d of <br />$645). He ~reo~-_,~ended that the original c~er be voia~a in favor of a new <br />orn~r for nine suits at a total cost of $5,310. AUproval is rer~j-aeended. <br /> <br />The City Manager saw the Council has scheduled this time and place for a <br />second public hearing cn the 1994-95 city ~t so that citizens may provide <br />their id~-~ on how t_he city should spend its tax dollars. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus opened the public hearing at 7:34 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />
