SESSION 1686 <br /> <br />MI1Tu'~'mS OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />JANUARY 27, 1997 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the <br />Council Chamber of City Hall on Monday, January 27, 1997, Mayor Joseph L. <br />Adams called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the <br />following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Hardy Ware <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br />Mr. Lawrence Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br />Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the January 6, 1997, minutes as submitted. Mr. <br />Ware seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - PURCHASING DELMAR PARKING GARAGE <br /> <br />The City Clerk read a resolution which designates the initial purchasers and <br />authorizes the offering for sale of certificates of participation for the <br />Delmar parking facility. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved approval. Mrs. Thompson seconded, and all voted Aye. The <br />resolution will become part of the permanent minutes. <br /> <br />APpOINTMENTS/REAPPOn~MENTS <br /> <br />Mr. Lieherman moved the appointment of Mrs. Caryn St. Clair, 7545 Cornell, to <br />the Park Commission for a term expiring January 21, 2000. Mr. Wagner seconded <br />the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams moved the appointment of Ms. Marion Flowers, 539 North Central <br />Avenue, to the Historic Preservation Commission for an unexpired term ending <br />September 9, 1999. <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CITXM~NAGER'S REPORTS <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR (6 ITEMS) <br /> <br />Snow Plows #1. Purchase of four replacement snow plows for use next winter. <br />These plows are installed on City pickup trucks. Recommended that purchase be <br />awarded to low bidder, Kranz Truck Equipment for $10,460. The bids were as <br />follows: <br /> Midwest Truck Equipment 13,496.00 <br /> Kranz Truck Equipment 10,460.00 <br /> <br />Community Center Stage #2. Purchase replaces existing stage that is in poor <br />condition and doesn't meet ADA requirements. Recommended that purchase be made <br />to low bidder, Sico North America, for $6,797.15.
