<br /> <br />Board of Adjustment <br />October 21, 2013 Meeting Minutes <br />(approved 11-18-2013) <br /> <br />A Board of Adjustment meeting was held on Monday October 21, 2013 at the Heman Park <br />Community Center located at 975 Pennsylvania Avenue, University City, Missouri. The <br />meeting commenced at 6:35 pm. <br /> <br />Members Present Members Absent (excused) <br />John Solodar, Chairperson Kathy Straatmann <br />Deborah Arbogast, Vice-Chairperson Fannye Houston <br />Mike Krivonak <br />Peggy Holly, Alternate <br />Roger McFarland, Alternate <br /> <br />Staff Present <br />Andrea Riganti, Director of Community Development <br />Raymond Lai, Deputy Director of Economic and Community Development <br />Zach Greatens, Planner <br /> <br />1. Approval of Minutes <br />The minutes from the April 17, 2013 Board of Adjustment meeting were approved. <br /> <br />2. Case # 13-11402 8348-8350 Delcrest Drive (Crown Center for Senior Living) <br /> <br />Vince Keady with Stinson Morrison Hecker, LLP, on behalf of Council Apartments, LLC, <br />requested a variance to maintain a five (5) foot landscape buffer adjacent to the Delcrest Drive <br />right-of-way in lieu of ten (10) feet as required by Section 34-92.6.3 of the Zoning Code for the <br />reconfiguration of the existing parking lot in the HRO High Density Residential/Office <br />District. The variance was approved by a vote of 5 to 0. The Board members noted that based <br />on the evidence presented, the standards for granting variances as specified in the Zoning Code <br />had been met. <br /> <br />There were no requests for public comments. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:05 p.m. <br />tm; <br /> E <br /> <br />
