<br /> <br />Board of Adjustment <br />November 18, 2013 Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />A Board of Adjustment meeting was held on Monday November 18, 2013 at the Heman Park <br />Community Center located at 975 Pennsylvania Avenue, University City, Missouri. The <br />meeting commenced at 6:50 pm. <br /> <br />Members Present Members Absent (excused) <br />John Solodar, Chairperson Deborah Arbogast, Vice-Chairperson <br />Mike Krivonak Fannye Houston <br />Kathy Straatmann <br />Peggy Holly, Alternate <br /> <br />Staff Present <br />Andrea Riganti, Director of Community Development <br />Raymond Lai, Deputy Director of Economic and Community Development <br />Zach Greatens, Planner <br /> <br />1. Approval of Minutes <br />The minutes from the October 21, 2013 Board of Adjustment meeting were approved. <br /> <br />2. Case # 13-12525 7295 Greenway Avenue <br /> <br />Jay Sparks with Sparks Designs, Inc., on behalf of David and Judy Clifford, property owners, <br />requested a variance to maintain a rear yard setback of twenty (20) feet in lieu of thirty (30) feet <br />as required by Section 34-30.5.2.a(3) of the Zoning Code for the expansion of the existing <br />attached garage in the SR Single Family Residential District. The variance was approved by a <br />vote of 4 to 0. The Board members noted that based on the evidence presented, the standards for <br />granting variances as specified in the Zoning Code had been met. <br /> <br />There were no requests for public comments. <br /> <br />Mr. Greatens stated that one email and two letters were submitted by surrounding property <br />owners expressing their support for the variance request. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:20 p.m. <br />tm; <br /> E <br /> <br />
