That applicatio~ be made under the Land and Water Corservati{m Fund <br />(IiqCF) of the United States GOVeAX~ for a grant-in-aid of 50 percent of <br />the total cost of the project. <br /> <br /> 2. That a project pEoposal be prepared and sukmit~a to the D~.~_rtment <br />of the Interior, National Park Service (NPS) thruugh the State Inter-Agency <br />Council for Outdoor Recreation (SIAOOR) for said ~L~nt-in-aid. <br /> <br /> 3. ~ Nayor, City Council, Parks and Recreation Director, and ~lairman <br />of the Park ~,~ion be authorized, and herBby authorize those persons <br />listed below to sign and execute the necessary documents for forwarding the <br />project p~uposal application for a grant-in-aid under the Land and Water Con- <br />servation Fund proa~m. These persons are also hereby authorized to sign the <br />project agreement, subsequent amendments and other necessary documents be- <br />tween the City of University City and the State of Missouri. <br /> <br /> 4. If a grant is awarded, the City of University City accepts all re- <br />sponsibilities under the LWCF Act as amended and tha policies of NPS and <br />SIACOR. ~ includes, but is not limited to, maintenance of the park for <br />public outdoor recreation purposes in perpetuity, o~liance with the provi- <br />sions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, undel~3round wiring of all <br />telephone and electrical wires under 15 KV within the park both under this <br />project and in the future, provision of facilities which are accessible to <br />and usable by the l~hysically handicapped. <br /> <br />City '~Clerk <br /> <br /> PASSED AND RESOLVED BY THE CITY O33NCIL OF THE Ci~fY OF errY Ci'i'f <br />THIS 16TH DAY OF MAY, 1994. <br /> <br /> ~, l~k <br /> <br /> <br />
