<br />MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br />SPECIAL SESSION <br />City Hall, fifth floor <br />6801 Delmar Blvd <br />6:00 p.m. <br />December 10, 2013 <br /> <br /> <br />A Special Session of the City Council of University City meeting with the Plan <br />Commission held at City Hall, fifth floor, December 10, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. In addition to <br />Mayor Welsch the following members of Council were present. <br />Ms. Paulette Carr <br />Mr. Stephen Kraft <br />Mr. Terry Crow <br />Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> <br />Members of the Plan Commission Committee present were: <br /> Linda Locke <br /> Cirri Moran <br /> Ben Senturia <br /> <br />Member of staff present were: <br /> Andrea Riganti <br /> Ray Lai <br /> Zach Greatens <br /> <br />Presenter and Public Relation representative present were: <br /> Dan Gardner, presenter from Houseal Lavigne <br />MaryAnn Taylor-Crate, Public Relation Director from <br />Added Dimensions <br /> <br />Linda Locke opened the meeting and asked everyone to introduce themselves. She <br />noted the purpose of the meeting came from the Plan Commission Committee spending <br />a number of months with staff, brainstorming about what they would like to see in terms <br />of a framework for developing the next Comprehensive Plan for University City. Ms. <br />Locke said members considered a number of distinguished planning and <br />communication firms and Houseal Lavigne Associates was chosen, with the <br />understanding that they would work with Added Dimension, an in-town company that <br />will handle the important community outreach efforts. The committee would like to make <br />sure everyone is comfortable with the direction that Houseal Lavigne is proposing and <br />meets everyone’s standards. <br /> <br />Ms. Riganti said the purpose of this meeting is to ensure that the scope of work by the <br />consultants meets everyone’s expectations, and will result in the best product for <br />University City. She noted Houseal Lavigne’s (HLA) put together a proposed schedule <br />and scope of work that including working with MaryAnn Taylor-Crate of Added <br />Dimensions. The Plan Commission Committee’s goal is to take this meeting’s feedback <br />to the Plan Commission subcommittee and perhaps revise the scope of work prior to <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> <br />
