Two other items were submitted for
record by Ms. Carr (see attached).

Mr. Rick Salamon, 6404 Cates, indicated that he is a member of the Parkview Gardens
Association but not speaking on their behalf. He stated that the Commission members
were being asked to approve the Plan, a 15-20 year Plan, as a concept. He stated that
one cannot anticipate events that might occur over the next 15 to 20 years and that
elements included in the Plan would occur in phases over several years. He cited the
connection of Enright Avenue to Skinker Boulevard as an example and stated that it was
probably a good idea, but to implement this it would have to be done based on the closure
of Vernon Avenue; but discussion of details should occur later. He also mentioned that
the neighborhood had closed entrances to the neighborhood many years ago for security
reasons. He stated that the Plan Commission members should support the vision and the
concept and not worry about every detail for now.

With no further public comments, a motion was made by Mr. Senturia to recommend
approval of the resolution (see attached) to recommend to City Council to adopt the
updated Revised Draft Parkview Gardens Neighborhood Sustainable Development Plan.
The motion was seconded by Ms. Moran and carried with four ayes and one abstention
by Mr. Miller.

Mr. Senturia stated that he thought this was a lengthy and thorough planning process with
multiple opportunities for public comments.

b.Public Comments
There were no further public comments.

8.
