<br />Getachew, Junior Class President of University City High School shall now become a <br />member of the Youth Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Kraft moved to approve the appointment, seconded by Mr. Glickert and the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. <br />Katherine Elizabeth Gooch was nominated for appointment to the Youth Commission by <br />Mr. Sharpe, seconded by Ms. Carr and the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />G. SWEARING IN <br />1. <br />Abbie Carter was sworn in to the Senior Commission in the City Clerk’s office. <br />2. <br />Rick Salamon was sworn in to the Plan commission in the City Clerk’s office <br /> <br />H. <br />CITIZEN PARTICIPATION (Total of 15 minutes allowed) <br />Jackie Womack, 7300 Ahren <br />Mr. Womack stated that he would like to present a plaque to Mr. Byron Price for his ideas, hard <br />work, conscientiousness, stubbornness and thoughtfulness. He stated that he has known Mr. <br />Price for a long time and that he has always been consistent in his efforts to represent every <br />resident of University City. <br /> <br />Mr. Price thanked Mr. Womack for the award and then read the inscription into the record: “In <br />grateful appreciation of Byron Price for twenty years of outstanding service and dedication to <br />the citizens of UCity, dated January 27, 2014.” <br /> <br />I. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br /> <br />J. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />K. <br />CITY MANAGER’S REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />L. <br />COUNCIL REPORTS/BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Boards and Commission appointments needed <br />Mayor Welsch read the appointments and reappointments needed. <br /> <br />Ms. Carr advised Mayor Welsch that she had appointed Michael McMahon to the Youth <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Mr. Kraft stated that his belief is that he had already appointed Margaret Diekemper to the <br />Senior Commission. <br /> <br />Mayor Welsch asked Ms. Pumm to check on the appointment of Ms. Diekemper and to <br />delete the Youth Commission appointment for Ms. Carr. <br />2. <br /> <br />Council liaison reports on Boards and Commissions <br />Mayor Welsch stated that members of the Economic Development Retail Sales Tax Board <br />conducted a meeting to work on updating its application form, which should be available on- <br />line in the near future. Per the request of Mayor Welsch the ordinance was <br />read for the second and third time. <br /> <br /> <br />
