RESOLUTION 2014-6 The matter of establishing a neighborhood improvement district in University Heights Subdivision Number Two was considered. After a review and general discussion of the matter, Councilmember offered the following resolution and moved its adoption. BE IT RESOLVED: That the Council of the City of University City, Missouri, finds and declares as follows: 1. University Heights Subdivision Number Two (the "Subdivision") is a subdivision in the City of University City, Missouri. 4r 2. On April 16, 2014, a proper Petition for the creation of a neighborhood improvement district within the Subdivision was filed with the City Clerk. 3. The Petition was signed by the owners of record of at least two-thirds (2/3) by area of all real property located within the proposed neighborhood improvement district. 4. The project name for the proposed improvement is the "6900 Kingsbury Improvement Project". 5. The general nature of the proposed improvement is: a. The repair and replacement of driveway aprons, sidewalks, and curbs that are significantly damaged, non-functional or exhibit more than minor cracks (Cost estimated to be $25,000.00); and b. Milling and repaving of the north side of the 6900 block of Kingsbury Blvd. according to the City of University City Public Works Department's specifications and design standards for public property of this nature (Cost estimated to be $15,000.00); and c. Repair and relocation of the street light in front of 6925 Kingsbury; and engineering and inspection of all work to insure that required standards are met (Cost is estimated to be $5,000.00). 6. The total estimated cost of the proposed improvement is $51,000.00 7. The boundaries of the proposed neighborhood improvement district to be assessed are as indicated on the attached map marked Exhibit A, attached
