RESOLUTION 2014 - 7 <br /> } <br /> The matter of establishing a neighborhood improvement district in University <br /> Heights Subdivision Number Two was considered. <br /> After a review and general discussion of the matter, Councilmember Crow <br /> offered the following resolution and moved its adoption. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED: That the Council of the City of University City, Missouri, finds <br /> and declares as follows: <br /> 1. On April 28, 2014, a neighborhood improvement district in the University <br /> Heights Subdivision Number Two (the "Subdivision") was lawfully established <br /> by Resolution No. 2014-5, at which time the preliminary plans and <br /> specifications for the proposed improvement were provided to Council. <br /> 2. The project name for the proposed improvement is the "6900 Kingsbury <br /> Improvement Project". <br /> 3. The general nature of the proposed improvement is as follows: the repair and <br /> replacement of driveway aprons, sidewalks, and curbs that are significantly <br /> damaged, non-functional or exhibit more than minor cracks; milling and <br /> repaving of the north side of the 6900 block of Kingsbury according to the <br /> City's Public Works Department's specifications and design standards for <br /> public property of this nature; repair and relocation of the street light in front of <br /> 6925 Kingsbury; and engineering and inspection of all work to insure that <br /> required standards are met. <br /> 4. The total estimated cost of the proposed improvement is $51,000.00. <br /> 5. The plans and specifications for the proposed improvement have been made <br /> and are set out in the attached "6900 Kingsbury Improvement Project," <br /> marked Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein. <br /> 6. The proposed assessment roll, listing the assessments to be made against <br /> each parcel of real property deemed to be benefited by such improvement is <br /> attached hereto as Exhibit B, and incorporated herein. The assessments <br /> shall accrue at the rate of % per annum until paid in full. The property <br /> owners may pay such assessment in full when levied or in substantially equal <br /> annual installments for the duration not to exceed 10 years. <br /> 1 <br />
