Resolution 2014 - 8 <br /> RESOLUTION FOR MUNICIPAL RECYCLING AND WASTE REDUCTION GRANT <br /> WHEREAS, the City of University City deems it necessary to provide a special waste <br /> recycling event to serve its citizens as well as those in the metropolitan area. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE City Council of the City of University <br /> City, as follows: <br /> 1. An application was made to the St. Louis County Department of Health for a <br /> grant-in-aid for some of the costs, about 80%, to host an electronics and tire <br /> recycling event during fall 2014. <br /> 2. The governing body hereby authorizes the City Manager to sign and execute the <br /> necessary documents for forwarding the project proposal application, accepting <br /> awarded funds of $8,800 and later execute an agreement for a grant-in-aid from <br /> the St. Louis County Department of Health. <br /> 4. The project was approved by St. Louis County Department of Health on April 15, <br /> 2014 and the City of University City will enter into an agreement or contract with <br /> the Commission regarding said grant.
