alternative transportation and parking reductions, in keeping with the grant requirements with an <br />emphasis on sustainable development, less dependency on automobiles, increase density, etc. <br />She stated that the Plan was consistent with EPA, HUD, and DOT recommendations in working <br />toward goals for sustainability. <br /> <br />Mr. Senturia made a motion to endorse the changes to the Plan specified in the memorandum <br />that was distributed. The motion was seconded by Ms. Moran and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Reports <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan Committee (CPC) <br /> <br />Mr. Lai stated that the CPC had met over the last few months and had drafted a planning process <br />outline for the Comprehensive Plan Update in a flow chart format and in a table. <br /> <br />Mr. Senturia stated that the CPC had come up with this process to govern the development of the <br />Comprehensive Plan Update which was specified in the documents distributed. He stated there <br />were two principles emphasized by CPC members complete transparency and broad outreach <br />and inclusion in the process. He explained the steps in the process proposed in the document. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Ms. Locke that the Plan Commission endorse the process as proposed for <br />the Comprehensive Plan Update. The motion was seconded by Ms. Hollowell and carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Council Liaison <br /> <br />Mayor Welsch stated that the City Manager had presented the draft budget and there were three <br />more public meetings on the budget.
