Cre RESOLUTION fa. INTENTION TQ <br /> ESTABLISH A SPECIAL BUSINESS DISTRICT <br /> WHEREAS, Section 71 . 790 through Section 71 .808 Mo. R. S. 1986, <br /> as amended, permit the governing body of any city to establish <br /> special business districts in said city; and <br /> WHEREAS, a petition signed by nine of the owners of real <br /> property on which is paid the ad valorem real property taxes <br /> within the proposed district has been filed with the City of <br /> Universiy City, which petition requests the formation of a <br /> special business district; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 71 . 794 Mo . R. S . 1986 requires that in order <br /> to establish a special business district, following the filing of ¢' <br /> the aforementioned petition, the City Council shall adopt a <br /> resolution of intention to establish a special business district . <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1 . The City Council of the City of University City <br /> intends to establish a special business district pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Section 71 .790 through Section 71 .808 Mo .R.S . 1986, <br /> as amended . <br /> Section Z. A petition signed by nine of the owners of real <br /> property on which is paid the ad valorem real property taxes <br /> within the proposed district requesting the formation of a <br /> special business district has been filed with the City. <br /> section a. a) A description of the boundaries of the <br /> proposed area of the special district are as shown on the map <br /> attached hereto and may be generally described as follows: <br /> The boundaries of the University City Olive East Special Business <br /> Tax District shall be the 61.00 through 6700 blocks of Olive and <br /> industrially zoned portion of Vernon, extending south in the 800 <br /> and 900 blocks of Kingsland on the east and west sides, and <br /> including Cunningham Industrial Park (bounded by Sutter on the <br /> west, Olive on the south and the municipal boundaries on the east <br /> and north. (See Plate 1) . r, <br /> b) The time and place of a hearing to be held by the City <br /> Council shall be 7 : 30 p .m. , February 26, 1990, in the Council <br /> Chambers of the City Hall in University City. <br /> C <br /> 1 <br />
