SESSION 1509 Ar- MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL January 8, 1990 At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Assem- bly Room of City Hall on Monday, January 8, 1990, Mayor Janet Majerus presided and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: Mr. Byron R. Price Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. Mr. Robert G. Wagner Mrs. Mazy V. Schuman Mr. Paul E. Schoomer } Absent: Councilmember Betty L. Thompson. Also present was City Manager Frank 011endorff. MU Mr. Wagner moved approval of the December 11, 1989 minutes as received. Mr. Price seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. EMEEMTBElaa Mayor Majerus moved the reappointment of Mr. Peter Green, 7139 Waterman, to the Industrial Development Authority and Tax Increment Financing Commission for a term expiring August 27, 1995. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. Mr. Price moved the reappointments of Ms. Janie Yeai, 8527 Elmore, and Mr. Al- len Sabol, 7214 Dartmouth, to the Commission on Human Relations for terms ex- pining August 6, 1991 and August 6, 1992, respectively. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. F. Mr. Price moved the reappointment of Mr. Hardy Ware, 1465 Forest Green Court, to the Traffic Commission for a term expiring January 21, 1993. Mrs. Schuman seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. O_ATHS OF OFFICE, Ms. Mary Gass, recently reappointed to the Historic Preservation Commission, was given the oath of office by the City Clerk. Mayor Majerus said the Coun- cil appreciated Ms. Gass' willingness to serve another term on the Commission. Ms. Gass said she has enjoyed working with this group. Rev. Clarence Carr, a new appointee to the Traffic Commission, was given the oath of office by the City Clerk. Mayor Majerus thanked Rev. Carr for serving the City in this way, noting that this Commission is one of the most active of / all the Council advisory groups. Rev. Carr thanked the Council for the oppor- tunity to work with the Commission and the City.
