SESSION 1509 <br /> Ar- <br /> MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> January 8, 1990 <br /> At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Assem- <br /> bly Room of City Hall on Monday, January 8, 1990, Mayor Janet Majerus presided <br /> and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the <br /> following members of the Council were present: <br /> Mr. Byron R. Price <br /> Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. <br /> Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br /> Mrs. Mazy V. Schuman <br /> Mr. Paul E. Schoomer <br /> } <br /> Absent: Councilmember Betty L. Thompson. <br /> Also present was City Manager Frank 011endorff. <br /> MU <br /> Mr. Wagner moved approval of the December 11, 1989 minutes as received. Mr. <br /> Price seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> EMEEMTBElaa <br /> Mayor Majerus moved the reappointment of Mr. Peter Green, 7139 Waterman, to <br /> the Industrial Development Authority and Tax Increment Financing Commission <br /> for a term expiring August 27, 1995. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion, which <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Price moved the reappointments of Ms. Janie Yeai, 8527 Elmore, and Mr. Al- <br /> len Sabol, 7214 Dartmouth, to the Commission on Human Relations for terms ex- <br /> pining August 6, 1991 and August 6, 1992, respectively. Mr. Wagner seconded <br /> the motion, which carried unanimously. F. <br /> Mr. Price moved the reappointment of Mr. Hardy Ware, 1465 Forest Green Court, <br /> to the Traffic Commission for a term expiring January 21, 1993. Mrs. Schuman <br /> seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> O_ATHS OF OFFICE, <br /> Ms. Mary Gass, recently reappointed to the Historic Preservation Commission, <br /> was given the oath of office by the City Clerk. Mayor Majerus said the Coun- <br /> cil appreciated Ms. Gass' willingness to serve another term on the Commission. <br /> Ms. Gass said she has enjoyed working with this group. <br /> Rev. Clarence Carr, a new appointee to the Traffic Commission, was given the <br /> oath of office by the City Clerk. Mayor Majerus thanked Rev. Carr for serving <br /> the City in this way, noting that this Commission is one of the most active of <br /> / all the Council advisory groups. Rev. Carr thanked the Council for the oppor- <br /> tunity to work with the Commission and the City. <br />
