Mr. Wagner seconded the motion. The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Price, Adams Wagner, Schuman, Schomer and Mayor Majer- <br /> us. NAYS: None. ABSENT: Councilmember Thompson. <br /> { <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> Mrs. Schuman said a wonderful party called "ThingsLoopish" <br /> June 29, a fundraiser for this fall's twasv planned. efn- <br /> couraged <br /> in Motion Arts Festival. She en- <br /> couraged all present to make their reservations as soon as possible. <br /> Mr. Price called attention to a newspaper article describingthe accomplish- <br /> ments of the 7000 Melrose Block Unit headed ccomplishe <br /> by Genies Jordan. He said he <br /> hoped that kind of enthusiasm and energy will spread throughout the City. <br /> Mr. Price said on July 15, radio station KATL is sponsoring a drug awareness <br /> program in Kingsland Park, and that further information would be coming to the <br /> local group working on drug problems, as well as the police department. <br /> Mr. Price said it was announced at the last UCRS meeting that there will be <br /> another block tour north of Olive on August 25. <br /> Mayor Majerus reminded Council of their study session scheduled for July 14, <br /> 1990 at 8:00 a.m. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Mayor Majerus adjourned the meeting at 9:20 p.m. <br /> od ,Q <br /> Dolores A.
