SESSION 1524 <br /> (110,1 <br /> ?ITEMS OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> July 9, 1990 <br /> At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Assem- <br /> bly Roan of City Hall on Monday, July 9, 1990, Mayor Janet Majerus presided <br /> and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the <br /> following menbers of the Council were present: <br /> Mr. Byron R. Price <br /> Mr. Joseph L. Adam, Jr. <br /> Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br /> Mrs. Mary V. Schuman <br /> Mr. Paul E. Schooner <br /> Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br /> Also present was City Manager Frank 011endorff. <br /> May 23, 1990 <br /> Mrs. Schuman requested amplification of a statement she made on page 3 in dis- <br /> cussion of the University City Residential Service (MRS) budget. She asked <br /> that line 17 read as follows: "Mrs. Schuman said she had wanted to see the <br /> Northeast marketing plan included in the UCRS regular budget last year, but <br /> agreed to the extra allocation to emphasize how important she felt the plan <br /> was." Mr. Wagner moved approval of the budget study minutes of May 23, 1990 <br /> with that change. Mr. Adam seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> June 4, 1990 <br /> Mrs. Schuman moved approval of the minutes of the regular meeting of ,June 4, <br /> 1990 as submitted. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion, and all voted Aye. <br /> APPOINTMENTS <br /> Mr. Wagner moved the appointment of Mrs. Bettye K. Dew, 7154 Washington, to <br /> the Library Board for an unexpired term ending June 30, 1992. Mrs. Schuman <br /> seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Adams moved that Mr. Thomas Kahn, 7 Westridge Court, be appointed to the <br /> Historic Preservation Commission for an unexpired term ending September 9, <br /> 1991. Mr. Price seconded the motion, and all voted Aye. <br /> OATHS OF OFFICE <br /> Mr. Mars Howard, a new appointee to the Committee for Access and Local Origi- <br /> nation Programming (CAIAP) ; and Ms. Linda Grabel and Mr. Larry Mickey, both of <br /> wham were reappointed to the Library Board, were given the oath of office by <br /> the City Clerk. Mayor Majerus thanked the new and reappointed members and <br /> said the Council relied heavily on the boards and commissions for advice. <br />
