• <br /> SESSION 1526 <br /> MaNUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> August 13, 1990 <br /> At a regular meeting of the City Cauzcil of University City held in the Assem- <br /> a <br /> bly Roan of City Hall on Monday, August 13, 1990, Mayor Janet Majerus presided <br /> and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the <br /> following members of the Cauicil were present: <br /> Mr. Byron R. Price <br /> Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. <br /> Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br /> Mrs. Mary V. Schuman <br /> Mr. Paul E. Schomer <br /> Absent: Mrs. Betty L. Thompson. <br /> Also present was City Manager Frank 011endorff. <br /> MattnEE <br /> Mr. Adams moved approval of the July 23, 1990 minutes as submitted. Mr. Wag- <br /> ner seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> APPOINTMENTS, REAPPOINTMENTS <br /> Mrs. Schuman moved the appointment of Ms. Maxine Goldstein, 7212 Kingsbury, to <br /> the Board of Trustees of the Uniformed and Non-Uniformed Employees Pension <br /> Funds for an unexpired term ending July 1, 1991. Mr. Wagner seconded the mo- <br /> tion, which carried unanimously. <br /> si <br /> r.. <br /> Mr. Adams moved that Mr. David Foshage, 8027 Teasdale, be appointed to CAtOP <br /> (Committee for Access and Local Origination Programming) for a term expiring <br /> September 9, 1993. Mr. Schoamer seconded the motion, with all voting Aye. <br /> Mr. Adams moved that Police Captain Robert Fischer, 9421 Pancho, be reappoint- <br /> ed to the Board of Tristees of the Uniformed Employees Pension Fund for a term <br /> expiring July 1, 1994. Mrs. Schuman seconded the motion, and all voted Aye. <br /> Mr. Adams moved the appointment of Fire Department Private Eugene Rump, 3414 <br /> Maybelle, to the Board of Trustees of the Uniformed Employees Pension Fund. for <br /> an unexpired term ending July 1, 1992. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, which <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> THANK YOU TO RESIDENTS <br /> Councilmember Schoomer thanked the citizens of University City for their gen- <br /> erosity and trust in approving the two tax measures on the August 7 ballot. <br /> Mayor Majerus seconded Mr. Schoomer's comments, adding that citizen support ry' <br /> for the two ballot issues was outstanding. <br />
