SESSION 1531 <br /> MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> November 5, 1990 <br /> At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Assem- <br /> bly Room of City Hall on Monday, November 5, 1990, Mayor Janet Majerus presid- <br /> ed and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the <br /> following members of the Council were present: <br /> Mr. Byron R. Price <br /> Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. <br /> Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br /> Mrs. Mary V. Schuman <br /> Mr. Paul E. Schoamer <br /> Mrs. Betty L. Thompson <br /> City Manager Frank 011endorff arrived at 7:33 p.m. <br /> Mr. Adams moved approval of the October 15, 1990 minutes as submitted. Mrs. <br /> Schuman seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> APPOINIMENT, REAPPOINTMENT <br /> Mrs. Thompson moved the appointment of Capt. Charles Alphin, 8004 Noel Court, <br /> to the Park Commission for a term expiring January 21, 1994. Mr. Schoomer <br /> seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. Schoomer moved that Ms. Dorothy A. Davis, 7341 Balson, be reappointed to <br /> the University City Committee for Access and Local Origination Programming <br /> (CALOP) for a term expiring September 9, 1993. Mrs. Thompson seconded the mo- <br /> tion, which carried unanimously. <br /> Mr. 011endorff arrived at this time. <br /> CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR (FOUR ITEMS) <br /> Tree Bids for Forestry Division (#1) . Invitations to bid on furnishing 212 <br /> trees and shrubs for the Forestry Division were sent to 21 area nurseries, <br /> with the following response: <br /> Hilltop Nursery (13 no-bid items) $ 2,520 <br /> Frisella Nursery (7 no-bid items) 7,219 <br /> Waldbart & Sons (3 no-bid items) 8,395 <br /> Rob Roy Nursery Company (10 no-bid items) 8,800 <br /> Treeland (1 no-bid item) 20,049 <br /> (me There are no known minority or female suppliers for this material. It was <br /> recommended that the bid be split as follows: Waldbart & Sons, $6,517.50; <br />
