SESSION 1532 MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL November 19, 1990 At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Assem- bly Room of City Hall on Monday, November 19, 1990, Mayor Janet Majerus pre- sided and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: Mr. Byron R. Price Mr. Joseph L. Adams, Jr. Mr. Robert G. Wagner Mrs. Mary V. Schuman Mr. Paul E. Schoamer Mrs. Betty L. Thompson Also present was City Manager Frank 011endorff. MINUTES Mr. Wagner moved approval of the November 5, 1990 meeting as submitted. Mr. Price seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. APPOINTMENTS, REAPPOINTMENTS Mr. Adams moved the reappointment of Mr. Cloris Boyd, Jr., 8020 Braddock, to the Board of Adjustment for a term expiring July 7, 1995. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. Mr. Adams moved that Mr. David P. Mastin, 7037 Tulane, be reappointed to the Board of Appeals for a term expiring August 1, 1995. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. Mr. Schooner moved that Council confirm the election of Mr. Johnson Lancaster, Progressive Emporium, 6265 Delmar, and Mr. Stewart Berger, St. Louis Bread Company, 6309 Delmar, to the University City Loop Special Business District Commission for terms expiring January 1, 1993. Mrs. Schuman seconded the mo- tion, which carried unanimously. OATHS OF OFFICE Mr. Charles Alphin, newly appointed to the Park Commission, and Ms. Dorothy Davis, reappointed to CAIOP, were given the oath of office by the City Clerk. Mayor Mayor thanked Mr. Aiphin and Ms. Davis for agreeing to serve, and said Council depends greatly on the boards and commissions for advice and counsel.
