Price, <br />Mr. Joee[h L. ~a~m~, Jr. <br />Mrs. MaryV. Schuman <br />Mz. PaulE. SdxxmBr <br />m~.BettyL.~em <br /> <br />,Mr. Price arrived at 7:55 p.m. <br /> <br />Also present were City Manager Frank Ollendorff, Finance Director Willie Nor- <br />fleet, and Assistant to the City Manager Kimberley T~.-.~ly. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus announced that the State legislature has voted to approve the <br />St. L~H-~ County sales tax redistributic~ bill, which means that University <br />City should receive about $200,000 additioPal in sales taxes next year. <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus said she has deci~ae4~_ to run for reelectic~ next year. <br /> <br />RXEI~NDITjR~ (Co~l'inued flu,, May 10 MeetiW) <br /> <br />Mr. Ollexr]orff said there was one more chanee in the Fire Department budget <br />(discussed at the May 10 meeting). On pages C-44 and C-45, 743.03 Fire Fight- <br />ing Equi[a~ent, the figure of $2,600 for 1993-94 should be dlanged to $8,600. <br /> <br />In response to Mr. Sch~w~v's questic~ at the last meeting about arrest e <br />rants for housing violatiels, Mr. Ollendorff said about 40 people were ar- <br />rest_~3_, but most happened when they were pic~a up for s~ething else; six or <br /> <br />There had also been a questi~l about the m~aning of ambulance assists, and <br />Mr. Ollendorff said it is the number of times fire trucks go out on M calls <br /> <br />26i0 Engineering (page C-50}. Mr. Ollendorff no~a an inu~ese in 7i3.0 Tem- <br />porary and Part-time- Employee~ Pay due to hiring a part-time Recycling Coor- <br />dinator. Brief ~i~c~ussion ensued about that person's duties. Mayor Majerus <br />noted Council has askad that the City have plar~ ready to e~pand recycling <br />when markets c[en up or when mor~-y is available to put into more recycling. <br /> <br /> <br />
