M]I~IFiES OF ~E U~rlV~SITY C~'lY COL~KIIL April 26, 1993 At a regular meeting of the City Cc~cil of University City held in tba Coun- cil (]3aunber of City Hall c~ Motday, A~ril 26, 1993, Mayor Janet Majerus pre- sided and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In ada~tic~ to the Mayor, the following m~mhers of the Council were present: Mr. B~Au, R. Price, Mr. Joee~h L. ~4~m~, Jr. Mrs. Mary V. Sc~m~n FaT. Paul E. SChO~m~ Mrs. BettyL.~pscn ,Mr. Price arrived at 7:36 p.m. Absent: Councilmenher Robert G. Wagner, who was excused. City Manager Frank Ollendorff arrived at 7:34 p.m. Mrs. ~nce~uson moved approval Of the m/nutes of April 12, 1993, as submitted. Mr. Schoceer sec(Frled tha motion, which carried unanimously. Mrs. ~h~L~C~1 moved the reappointments of Dr. Carolyn Orange, 959 Abbeville, and Mr. Allen Sabol, 7214 Dertmouth, to the C~,~,,~sic~ on Human Relations for terms expiring August 6, 1995. Mr. Schocmp_r seconded the motion, which car- ried unanimously. OATH OF O~'~'ICE Mr. John A. Whitfield, newly appointed to the Civil Service Board, w~s given the oath of office by tha City Clerk. Mayor Majerus thanked Mr. Whitfield for his willingness to serve the City, adding that his extensive background will be very val, mhle to tba Board. *Mr. Price came in at this time. Ms. Michelle ~, Washington University Student Representative to the City Council, said final e would be bald th/s week and next; graduation is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. May 15, with 10,000 students and parents expected; and shmmpar school begins May 17. Mayor Majerus said it has been delightful working with Ms. Brodsky, and she heped she would cc~e beck to visit. Ms. Brodsky said she has enjoyed it too.
