<br /> <br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />April 17, 2014 Meeting Minutes <br />(approved 6-19-2014) <br /> <br />The Historic Preservation Commission held their regular meeting in the Heman Park Community Center <br />located at 975 Pennsylvania Avenue, University City, Missouri on Thursday, April 17, 2014. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />The minutes from the March 20, 2014 meeting were approved. <br /> <br />2. Old Business None <br /> <br />3. New Business <br /> <br />3.a. Design review for proposed installation of street and pedestrian lights at the intersection of <br />Delmar Boulevard and Trinity Avenue in the University City Civic Complex Historic District <br /> <br />Mr. Greatens provided slides with background information for the agenda item including maps and <br />pictures. He stated that while the location of lights had been previously approved by the HPC, the <br />Commission had not made a recommendation on the final design of the lights. <br /> <br />Mr. Tim Nittler with CH2M Hill was present to explain the request on behalf of the applicant. Mr. Chris <br />Poehler with the Loop Trolley Company was also present. Mr. Nittler explained that the areas indicated <br />with yellow circles in the pictures distributed represented proposed lights that were a 25 foot tall, <br />historic cobra-head light. The orange circles represented existing pedestrian lights. He stated that four <br />new lights were proposed and the existing pedestrian lights were to remain. The light pole proposed <br />includes a pedestrian fixture on the sidewalk side and a roadway luminaire above. The pedestrian <br />fixture was 12 feet high and the roadway light was 25 feet high. <br /> <br /> <br />tğŭĻ Њ ƚŅ Ў <br /> <br />
