<br /> <br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />May 1, 2014 Meeting Minutes <br />(approved 6-19-2014) <br /> <br />The Historic Preservation Commission held a special meeting in the Heman Park Community Center <br />located at 975 Pennsylvania Avenue, University City, Missouri on Thursday, May 1, 2014. Approval of Minutes <br />The minutes from the previous meeting, April 17, 2014, would be available for review at the <br />next meeting. <br /> <br />2. Old Business <br /> <br />2.a. Design review for proposed installation of street and pedestrian lights at the intersection of <br />Delmar Boulevard and Trinity Avenue in the University City Civic Complex Historic District <br />(continued from April 17, 2014 meeting) <br /> <br />Mr. Smith disclosed that the law firm he works for did work for the Loop Trolley Transportation District <br />and that he would abstain from discussion and voting for this item. <br /> <br />Mr. Tim Nittler with CH2M Hill, on behalf of the applicant, stated that they revised the drawings and <br />made the light locations symmetrical. He stated that the lighting levels were not as good as with the <br />previous layout but that they met the required standards. He showed the final light design with the <br />previously proposed pedestrian light removed. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Ms. Marin to recommend approval of the proposed lighting layout and design. <br />The motion was seconded by Mr. Hamilton and carried by a vote of 3 to 0 with one abstention. <br /> <br />2.b. Design review for updates to proposed permanent roundabout at the intersection of Delmar <br />Boulevard and Trinity Avenue in the University City Civic Complex Historic District <br /> <br />Mr. Rich Wilson, Director of Public Works and Parks, thanked the Commission members for the <br />opportunity to improve the roundabout and explained the proposed layout which would now have a solid <br />tğŭĻ Њ ƚŅ Ћ <br /> <br />
