Session 1777

MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL

Ma~h 20,2000

At a study meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers of
City Hall on Monday, March 20, 2000, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to order
at 6:45 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present:

Ms. Cassandra Colquitt
Mr. Wayne Munkel
Mr. Robert Wagner
Mr. Larry Lieberman
Mr. Paul Schoomer*'
Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr.

Also present was City Manager, Frank Ollendorff.

* Mr. Schoomer arrived at 7:07 p.m.

The only subject discussed was whether or not to reconsider the liquor license application
at 7434 Olive.

After considerable discussion, Council decided to stand by their policy of only granting the
privilege of liquor licenses to very high quality establishments. The sense of Council was to stand by their decision and not
reconsider the liquor license application at 7434 Olive Blvd.

EXECUTIVE SESSION:

Mr. Schoomer moved that Council adjourn to executive session to discuss real estate
matters, as prescribed by RSMo !}610.021(2) in the same room at the time of 7:20 p.m.
Mr. Wagner seconded the motion. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Ms. Colquirt,
Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe and Mayor Adams.

ADJOURNMENT:

Mayor Adams adjourned the session at 7:2(~AL~ ~'~,- ~
Leisha K.
