Session 1777 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Ma~h 20,2000 <br /> <br />At a study meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers of <br />City Hall on Monday, March 20, 2000, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to order <br />at 6:45 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br />Mr. Wayne Munkel <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Mr. Larry Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul Schoomer*' <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager, Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />* Mr. Schoomer arrived at 7:07 p.m. <br /> <br />The only subject discussed was whether or not to reconsider the liquor license application <br />at 7434 Olive. <br /> <br />After considerable discussion, Council decided to stand by their policy of only granting the <br />privilege of liquor licenses to very high quality establishments. Liquor licenses, in general, <br />should be discouraged. The sense of Council was to stand by their decision and not <br />reconsider the liquor license application at 7434 Olive Blvd. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved that Council adjourn to executive session to discuss real estate <br />matters, as prescribed by RSMo !}610.021(2) in the same room at the time of 7:20 p.m. <br />Mr. Wagner seconded the motion. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Ms. Colquirt, <br />Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe and Mayor Adams. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams adjourned the session at 7:2(~AL~ ~'~,- ~ <br /> Leisha K.
