Session 1780
April 17, 2000

Responding to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Ollendorff said it was very rare for homeowners to
receive an insurance payment for sewer repair, but occasionally they do. They just want to
be prepared for the eventuality it does happen.

Responding to Mr. Sharpe, Mr. Ollendorff said that they would state on the application
form somewhere that any insurance the homeowner receives would need to be reimbursed
to the City or either pay that part of the bill themselves. It would be on the honor system.
He would not propose any special enforcement.

Mr. Lieberman moved approval of the amendments. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion,
which carried unanimously.

Mr. Ollendorff added that the homeowner would be responsible for contacting the insurance
agent. The homeowner is required to notify the City if any payment is received.

MOTION TO ADD AGENDA ITEM #4:

Mr. Schoomer moved to add agenda item number four. Mr. Sharpe seconded the motion,
which carried unanimously.

AGENDA ITEM #4 - ONE DAY LIQUOR LICENSE - 6504 OLIVE:

Mr. OIlendofff recommends approval of a picnic liquor license for a one day vintage wine
auction to be held before the end of June by ATEC, Inc., Paul Lerman, CEO. This is a
company in good standing in University City with headquarters at 858 Kingsland. They
will be auctioning vintage wine with a date not yet determined. He does not anticipate that
such a sale would cause any problems.

Mr. Schoomer moved approval. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion.

Mr. Munkel said that he did not have a problem with this one day sale, but if they are
planning to do this more often they should look at getting a regular liquor license. Ms.
Colquitt agrees with Mr. Munkel.

Mr. Schoomer said that ATEC is a company that handles liquidation and that this
opportunity may happen again in 2 weeks or 20 years. This is a good way of handling it.

Responding to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Ollendorff said that they could not be very specific yet
with the exact date. It would be sometime between mid-May and early June. More details
would be forthcoming in a day or two.
