<br /> <br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />August 21, 2014 Meeting Minutes <br />(approved 9-18-14) <br /> <br />The Historic Preservation Commission held a meeting in the Heman Park Community Center located at <br />975 Pennsylvania Avenue, University City, Missouri on Thursday, August 21, 2014. Approval of Minutes June 19, 2014 meeting <br /> <br />A motion was made by Mr. Hamilton to approve the June 19, 2014 meeting minutes as written. <br />The motion was seconded by Mr. Guest and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Preliminary Review of redevelopment scenario for former Delmar-Harvard School site at 701 <br />Kingsland Avenue and 601 Trinity Avenue in the University City Civic Complex Historic District <br />(Local Designation) VOTE ON A CONCEPTUAL REDEVELOPMENT SCENARIO REQUESTED <br /> <br />The Vice-Chairperson stated that the property was owned by University City School District and <br />the applicant was VRE Fiber Optic Ventures, LLC. The applicant was requesting preliminary <br />review and approval from HPC of the selected redevelopment concept. If approved, it would <br />only be a conceptual approval, as requested by the applicant, in order to refine their plans in <br />advance of seeking future approvals. <br /> <br />Mr. Greatens provided a brief overview of maps and pictures of the site and summarized the <br />Civic Complex Historic District Standards. <br /> <br />Mr. Peter Tao with Tao and Lee Associates explained the redevelopment concept for a multi- <br />family residential development of approximately 185 to 200 units. <br /> <br />tğŭĻ Њ ƚŅ Ћ <br /> <br />
