RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> The matter of the possible annexation of an unincorporated area in St. Louis County, <br />Missouri that includes property owned and occupied by Washington University was considered. <br /> <br /> After a review and general discussion of the matter, Councilmember [TLtM~)eLL <br />offered the following resolution and moved its adoption. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED: That the Cotmcil of the City of University City finds and declares as <br />follows: <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />Sections 72.400 through 72.430 RSMo prescribe the rules, regulations and <br />procedures governing the annexation of any area within St. Louis County, Missouri. <br /> <br />Section 72.423 RSMo provides that all boundary changes and unincorporated area <br />proposals are subject to a five-year planning cycle. No municipality shall file, nor <br />the St. Louis County Boundary Commission accept or review, any botmdary change <br />or unincorporated area proposal which has not previously been submitted to the St. <br />Louis County Boundary Commission for map plan review and comment. For the <br />five-year planning cycle of January 1, 2000 to December 31, 2005, any map plan <br />must be submitted no later than July 1, 2000. <br /> <br />Attached, marked Exhibit "A," and made a part hereof is the official map plan of the <br />City of University City, Missouri. It shows the proposed boundary change, which <br />is the annexation of an nnincorporated area in St. Louis County, Missouri that <br />includes property owned and occupied by Washington University. The area has <br />general boundaries ofMillbrook Blvd. to the north, Forsyth Blvd. to the south, Big <br />Bend Blvd. to the west and St. Louis City limits to the east, and it includes any pubic <br />rights-of-way. <br /> <br />The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to take all administrative and <br />legal actions necessary to file said map plan and comply with all rules, regulations <br />or procedures relating thereto. <br /> <br /> and July 1, 2004. <br /> <br />Motion seconded by Councilmember ~A~L~ <br />Adopted this ~ day of Jnne, 2000. <br /> <br />Filing the map plan does not commit University City to filing a boundary change <br />proposal; it simply preserves the right to file such a proposal between April 15,2001 <br /> <br />and carried. <br /> <br />I hereby certify that the above is a true excerpt from the minutes of the meeting of the City Council <br />held on the ~ day of June, 2000. ~ D.L~- ~ <br /> CITY CLERK <br /> <br /> <br />
