Session 1784 <br />May 22, 2000 <br /> <br />a member to take an additional trip, then a super majority is required to approve the <br />additional trip. This is not supposed to be a vote to allow budget overruns. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel, for clarification, asked if the Council was approving this additional trip in this <br />fashion because Ms. Colquitt has been to two national conferences so far this year and that <br />this one would be her third. If Ms. Colquirt take this additional trip, then she would not be <br />allowed to take her one national trip allotment next year. Mayor Adams said that he was <br />correct, unless Council changes the policy on June 3rd at study session. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams called the question. All members voted Aye, except for Mr. Lieberman, who <br />voted Nay. The motion passed six to one. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams asked for a motion to go into executive session for personnel and real estate <br />reasons as prescribed by state statute 610.021 and 610.022, in the second floor <br />conference room at 8:25 p.m. Mr. Schoomer moved approval. Mr. Munkel seconded the <br />motion. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Ms. Colquitt, Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, <br />Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams adjourned the regular session at 8:12 p.m. and announced that next Monday <br />was the Memorial Day run and he expects to see everyone out there in jogging togs besides <br />himself. The next meeting of the Council is a study session in the Library Boardroom at 9 <br />a.m. on June 3 <br /> meeting of e Council will be held on the 5th of June <br />at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> '.
