Session 1782 - Budget Meeting <br />May 15, 2000 <br /> <br />money in the budget temporarily and discuss this item further at the June 3r~ study session. <br />The Mayor asked that $900 for a new couch for his office be placed under 743.08, since <br />his current one is splitting at the seams. <br /> <br />10.11 PERSONNEL: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff said that there was nothing unusual in this budget, except that the Personnel <br />Director would be sharing the City Manager's and Assistant City Manager's secretaries from <br />ROW 01'1. <br /> <br />10.12 ADMINISTRATION: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff noted that the budget included a 3% raise for all employees across the <br />board. After discusssion about the UCRS budget, Council agreed to allow a $5,000 <br />increase to their contribution. <br /> <br />10.15 MUNICIPAL COURT: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff said that everything is pretty much the same as last year. All the changes <br />that the State auditors recommended have been instituted. The operation has been <br />running smoothly since December. Mr. Rose said that there is an investigation into some <br />of the monies that the auditors had identified as unaccounted. The new system and <br />software from Regis was fully implemented in December 1999. They have balanced <br />everyday since then. Responding to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Ollendorff said that the monies <br />budgeted under 713.00, Temporary and Part-Time Employee Pay was for the judge and <br />the prosecutor. Responding to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Rose stated that Housing Court and <br />TVB court is being handled easily with existing court staff. <br /> <br />10.16 FINANCE ADMINISTRATION: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff stated that there is more money budgeted for personnel in this budget <br />because a few of these employees would need to be reclassified. Mr. Ollendorff stated that <br />Mr. Norfleet needs another position to handle special projects, but that he did not include it <br />this year. Mr. Lieberman suggested having him use a Wash U. intern. <br /> <br />10.17 MAINTENANCE OF CITY PROPERTY <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff stated that he cut back one custodian nearly two years ago, but this has not <br />worked out at all. Another custodian needs to be restored. This person, primarily, will <br />cover an overlapping shift to cover the Police area on the weekends. Mr. Ollendofff <br /> <br /> <br />
