A bill was introduced by Ms. Colquitt, entitled: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8.12 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY <br />MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO GARBAGE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL, BY <br />REPEALING SECTION 8.12.200 THEREOF, RELATING TO THE SCHEDULE OF <br />REFUSE COLLECTION CHARGES, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW <br />SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 8.12.200 SCHEDULE OF REFUSE <br />COLLECTION CHARGES," THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO <br />INCREASE MONTHLY REFUSE RATES EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1, 2000; <br />CONTAINING SAVING AND SEVERABILITY CLAUSES, AND PROVIDING A <br />PENALTY. <br /> <br />The bill was given its first reading and assigned bill number 8488. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams asked for a motion to go into executive session for legal reasons as <br />prescribed by state statute 610.021(1), in the second floor conference room at 8:50 p.m. <br />Mr. Schoomer moved approval. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion. The roll call vote was <br />as follows: AYES: Ms. Colquitt, Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Schoomer, <br />Mr. Sharpe and Mayor Adams.
