Session 1792 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />September 11, 2000 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers of <br />City Hall on Monday, September 11, 2000, Mayor Joseph L Adams called the meeting to <br />order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were <br />present: <br /> Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br /> Mr. Wayne Munkel <br /> Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br /> Mr. Larry Lieberman <br /> Mr. Paul Schoomer <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />EXCUSED: City Clerk Leisha Meine-Forsythe. Also present was City Manager Frank <br />Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved approval of the regular session minutes from August 21, 2000. Ms. <br />Colquitt seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT FUND GRANT: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams read a resolution which will provide transportation enhancement grant funds <br />to help improve Olive Boulevard. The City will be getting matching funds to do this work. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved adoption. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion, which carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS: <br /> <br />AGENDA #1 - CONSENT CALENDAR (7 ITEMS): <br /> <br />#1 - Street & Alley Assessment Rates: Each year the City Council reviews the costs of <br />paving previously unimproved streets and alleys and determines the rate of assessment for <br />adjacent properties petitioning for paving. Our costs this past year indicates that no change <br />is needed in the rates. Mr. Ollendorff therefore recommends that the Council adopt the old <br />rates of $24.00 per abutting foot for alley paving and a rate of $41.20 per abutting foot for <br />new street improvements. We have not had a petition for this type of improvement for <br /> <br /> <br />
