PARALLEL <br /> AND ANGLE PARKING GENERALLY ; ANGLE PARKING STREET; <br /> SPECIAL PERiIT FOR LOADING AND UNLOADING WHILE <br /> BACK TO CURB , " BY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO <br /> CHANGE THE DISTANCE OF A VEHICLE PARKED AT THE <br /> CURB FROM ONE FOOT AS MEASURED FROM THE CURBSIDE <br /> WHEELS TO THE EDGE OF THE ROADWAY TO SEVEN 4 <br /> FEET FROM THE FARTHEST POINT OF THE VEHICLE TO <br /> THE EDGE OF THE ROADWAY ; CONTAINING A SAVING <br /> CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY . <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY , <br /> MISSOURI , AS FOLLOWS : <br /> Section 1 . Chapter 21 of the Municipal Code of the City of <br /> University City, relating to motor vehicles and traffic is hereby <br /> amended by repealing Section 21-128 thereof, as enacted by Code 1950, <br /> ft <br /> Section 1001 . 32 , relating to parallel and angle parking generally and <br /> enacting in lieu thereof a new Section to be known as , "Section 21-128. <br /> Parallel and Angle Parking Generally; Angle Parking Street; Special <br /> Permit for Loading and Unloading While Back to Curb , " by amending said <br /> t <br /> section so as to change the distance a vehicle may be parked from the <br /> edge of the roadway from one foot from the curbside wheels to the edge <br /> of the roadway to seven feet from the farthest point of the streetside <br /> vehicle to the edge of the roadway, relating to the same subject, and <br /> re-enacting such section so that said section , as so amended shall <br /> read as follows : E <br /> Section 21-123 . Parallel and Angle Parking Generally; I; <br /> Angle Parkin, Streets ; Specia) Permit <br /> for Loading and Unloading While Back f <br /> to Curb. <br /> (a) Parallel parking required ; exceptions . <br /> Except when necessary in obedience to traffic regula- <br /> tion or traffic signs or signals , th'e operator of a <br /> vehicle shall not stop, stand or park such vehicle <br /> in a roadway other than parallel with the edge of the <br /> roadway, headed in the direction of traffic, and with <br /> the farthest projection of the street side of the <br /> vehicle being no greater than seven feet from the <br /> right hand face of the curb or edge of the roadway, <br /> in the event of a one way street, that the said <br /> vehicle is parked on the left side of the one way <br /> street the farthest projection of the street side <br /> of the vehicle shall be no greater than seven feet <br /> from the left hand face of curb or edge of roadway, <br /> except as provided in the following paragraphs : <br />
