BILL NO. <br /> <br />7410 <br /> <br />INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMtltBER ADAMS <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />5222 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF TME MUNICIPAL CODE OF <br />THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO ADMINISTRATION <br />REPEALING SECTION 2-82 THEREOF, AS ENACTED BY ORDINANCE <br />NO. 3867, ENACTED OCTOBER 2, 1961, RELATING TO APPOINTMENT <br />AND OATH OF COMMISSIONERS AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A <br />NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 2-82. APPOINTMENT AND <br />OATH OF COMMISSIONERS" SO AS TO CHANGE THE APPOINTING <br />AUTHORITY FROM THE CITY MANAGER TO THE MAYOR; CONTAINING A <br />SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE 'CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br /> <br />MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Chapter ~ nf tbn M,,nte-tpal C~Qf-.the City of Univer- <br />sity City, relating to Administration is hereby amended by repealing Section <br />2-82 thereof, as enacted by Ordinance No. 3867, enacted October 2, 1961, <br />relating to Appointment and oath of commissioners, 8o as to change the <br />appointing authority from the City Manager to the Mayor; and enacting in lieu <br />thereof a new section to be known as "Section 2-82. Appointment and oath of <br />commissioners" relating to the same subject, and re-enacting said section so <br />that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: <br /> <br /> Sec. 2-82. Appointment and oath of commissioners. <br /> The commissioners of the Land Clearance for Redevelopment <br /> Authority shall be appointed by the Mayor. Before enter- <br /> ing upon his duties, each commissioner of the Authority <br /> shall take, subscribe and file with the City Clerk an oath <br /> or affirmation as set forth in Section 111 of the Charter. <br /> <br /> Section 2.. T~is er4i~ance-ehstl-not--be eonet{ued so as to relieve <br />any person, firm or corporation from any penalty heretofore incurred by the <br />violation of Section 2-82 nor bar the prosecution for any such violation. <br /> <br /> Section 3. Any person, firm or <br />provisions of this ordinance, shall, upon <br />the penalty provided in Chapter 1, Section <br />City of University City. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
